A&L single and double glazed windows are simple to keep clean. Keeping you’re A&L windows and doors and A&L Architectural windows and doors in pristine condition only requires a small amount of maintenance. Before cleaning, remove any window fly screens to access both sides of the glass. To clean the glass of you’re A&L aluminium windows and doors (for both single and double glazed windows), simply add a few drops of methylated spirits to a cloth and wipe over the surface, then polish dry with a lint free cloth. Do not remove abrasive materials such as mortar from your single or double glazed windows with a scraper, instead flood the area with water and dab with a sponge, do not scrub or scratching will occur. Avoid extreme temperature change on the glass of your doors and windows as it may lead to thermal fracture of the glass (do not direct hot or cold water onto the glass). Aluminium windows and doors- Washing your A&L aluminium windows and doors is important particularly in areas close to the beach where salt can cause increased wear. To clean your aluminium windows and doors, use a mild detergent or soap to ensure the aluminium is not damaged. Never use harsh liquid chemicals, abrasive cleaners or steel wool on your doors and windows. Regularly washing you’re A&L Windows or A&L Architectural windows and doors (every 6 months is normally adequate) will ensure a pristine appearance for years to come.
