Simple tips to keep your A&L windows and doors in pristine condition. To maintain maximum performance in the long term, we have included some tips on simple maintenance to keep your A & L windows and doors looking immaculate and functioning at their best.
Glass
To clean the glass in your windows, simply wipe over the surface with a few drops of methylated spirits on a damp cloth, then polish the surface dry with a lint free cloth. Ensure that all cleaning cloths are free from any abrasive substances. Never remove abrasive materials such as mortar from the glass with a scraper. Instead of using a scraper, try flooding the area with water and then dab with a sponge. Don't scrub with sponge or scratching will occur. Avoid causing extreme temperature changes as this may lead to thermal fracture of the glass (do not direct hot or cold water onto glass). Perfomance Adjustment
